nothing's quite like OBS. no joke.

Watch: Raffles
Watchmates: Beverly, Jaski, Alyssa, Charmaine, Grace, Crystal, Dorcas, Joy, Uma, Viency, Yi Ting, Krys

Day 1:
there wasn't much for the first day. packing was hectic, and the food was like ._.
the paper toss game was SO difficult, it took us half an hour just to do it :/
k anyway the important parts. TRUST FALL. someone would stand on top of the step ladder thingy, back facing the others. then she'd go "Raffles ready?" then we'd say "Raffles ready, Raffles pull!" then we'd pull that plastic sheet, and catch the person :D we had our rock-climbing training. seemed easy at first (until the next day hmm). "am i on belay?" "squeeze check" "rope check" "(instructor's name) check" TEEHEE ;D later that day we learnt to pitch our tents. had a problem for awhile since Uma was supposed to be in the same tent, but she switched to sleeping in Jaski's tent. OH THE FIRE DRILL. 10.15. hahaha kena scolding :/ so happened to be by a dude called Evan ROFL.

Day 2:
LEARNT HOW TO KAYAK OMG. it was really gross don't ask why. those in my watch would know why hahaha. anyway it was really fun and tiring...and it was only a km...to Camp 1 LOL. AND AFTER KAYAKING, MY WATCH WAS THE VERY FIRST ONE TO GO JETTY JUMPING :D it was damn fun teehee ^^ then we had to shower and all...then we went rock-climbing. at first i looked at the inverted tower and i was like "that doesn't seem too bad"...i was barely past the first section and i was already screaming and nearly cried and i wanted them to lower me, but everyone helped me ^^ then slowly, Joy was helping me all the way. we touched the top together :D then when we wanted to be let down, we kept screaming non-stop, and suddenly i went "ooh look at the scenery" "wow" then we continued screaming HEHE. i love Joy for life for this. wait not just for this, i must have one whole paragraph dedicated to Joy later.

Day 3:
bloody trekking with a 10-12kg bagpack...every single person...except for Sabrina, who helped my group carry our tent <3 i forgot how i ended up as the navigator, but i think i must be quite a good one HEHEHE. cos we NEVER went the wrong way, but we did overshot one checkpoint. OMG OMG THE GOLDEN-ORB SPIDER IS FREAKING HUGE ARGH. k moving on. i think we trekked for 5-6km for...4 hours? hehe my group actually skipped the village head's house first, we headed straight for the campsite, pitched our tents...lazed around, left our bags there then ran off to the house. and when we finished touring the house, the other groups JUST arrived, WITH their backpacks HAHAHA. not much for that day after that...every watch appointed their sea expedition leaders, like Beverly and Jaski ;D we kena 'scolded' and envied by the leaders and other people cos my watch was busy making milo infront of every hungry person HEHEHE.

Day 4:
woke up at 3.45am just for the watch duty. as in like, making sure the whole camp was safe since we were camping in a public place. my group stayed up all the way, and EVERYONE had to keep their tents and place their bags by the kayaks by 5.30am :/ had to eat and everything by 5.50am. since Uma, who was my original kayak buddy, went home, my buddy was Zhenghui, from Tenzing. she was seasick omg. oh ya anyway we started kayaking at 6.30am, when all we could see were each other's sillhouettes, heh. at first it was okay...then when Zhenghui started getting seasick...DIEEEE. we were always stuck between the two sea ex leaders and their buddies at the back, and they always had to stop to make sure we were infront of them. thanks Ying Hooi and buddy Si Hui, Nicole Cheng and buddy Phyllis <3 omg and i accidentally whacked Ying Hooi's face with my oar :/ yeah she couldn't paddle for a few minutes, cos it hit her eyes or smth. eeek. sorry. anyway...the entire journey was between 11km-12km, and lasted for 7 hours...and like...more than half the time i was paddling by myself from the BACK cos Zhenghui was way too seasick...and everytime she paddled, she kept splashing seawater into my eyes (though i didn't tell her that part). left my eye red since Thursday. yeah it's still red. yeah so for those don't know how many hours, i was dying. nearly fainted, like seriously. but thank god, 3 of the sea ex leaders rafted up halfway, and helped us switch partners...like less than 1km away from the destination LOL. Phyllis became my new partner. AND IT WAS LIKE A HOLIDAY FOR ME AFTER THAT. SHE'S DAMN GOOD HAHAHA. omg you should have seen the other sea ex leaders (or their buddies) faces, when they all switched partners. *cough cough* it was damn funny. but omg during the journery i kept getting scolded by that Nicole Cheng ): whenever she, phyllis, ying hooi and si hui were talking about something funny, then i'm like "HUH WHAT THING" then she'd go "OI CONCENTRATE LA" lol. they kept talking about Finding Nemo. Ying Hooi saw a dead sea snake :/ OH OH I REMEMBER THE THING ABOUT NICOLE BEING A MAN AND YING HOOI BEING A BOY TEEHEE. yeah but overall...i bloody loved the sea expedition, even though my hands failed me after that. i couldn't even open my bottle to drink water after that. scalp got burnt, ears got burnt, weird tan line on thigh...heh. Mao Ning sticking her feet out of the boat cos of the blisters. and all the other funny stuff omg. OH YA LATER THAT DAY...OUR CELEBRATORY DINNER. OUR AWESOME HALF-COOKED RICE!

Day 5:
all the sharing sessions and all...i wanted to cry while writing the last post in the journal. i wrote a little horrible poem cos i didn't know what to do with the remaining time i had. here goes:

There are so many things now i can't explain,
and the view i see now, i will never see again.
my friends are my family,
no they won't just be a memory.
the tough times we went through,
yeah sure they were cool,
but the hard work we put in,
they all could be seen.

yeah. that point in time...i didn't know how to express myself, i didn't know how to explain what i was feeling. and i was staring at the view of the sea, it was so gorgeous. i've bonded with my watch, they're like my second family. and all the difficult stuff we went through, when people look at them it's like "WOAH COOL" but we put in a lot of hard work, i'm sure they were taken notice of.

i really wanted to cry you know. i still want to. kay wait, i'm going to write another post about the awesome people during the expedition. TEEHEE <3
