hahaha hello. okay i actually forgot to blog yesterday, so i shall split this post into two. okay post for saturday:

hahaha went for orientation thingy at Kent Ridge Park. actually we met at Normantom Park. "IT'S NOT A PARK!" like the teacher said. lol, since it was actually an estate thingy. supposed to arrive by 8. arrived at 8.05, freaked out, but wth, a lot of ppl came in at 8.20 -.-" anyway after that we walked to some random place in Kent Ridge Park. my YL (youth leader) and the other group's YL were talking to each other, and they were like "okay we just need to find the tank".
my YL: "what tank? water tank ah?"
other YL: "NOOO! you know the tank, the shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot one!"
ROFL. damn funny la. okay after we found the tank thingy, the facilitators told us that we had to go all around kent ridge park and find those hut thingies, cos that was where the stations were. there were 8 in total lol.

FIRST STATION: it was some hula-hoop thing. i bet they were trying to kill us. they put one hula-hoop on the slope, then the members of the group must place one foot on it at all times, and we had to hold hands and pass around the hoop by climbing in and out of it -.-" right and Nicholas' hand was so damn sweaty. urghh

SECOND STATION: Gian (my group facilitator)'s wordsearch thingy. there were like 44 words in total, and we had to use the remaining letters that weren't used to form a sentence. okay so the sentence was actually "THE LORD ALMIGHTY".

THIRD STATION: went to some old and boring facilitator's station. it was a crossword puzzle. none of us were walking bible's so we just threw in some random answers.

FOURTH STATION: MARBLE SEARCHHH! okay so you know those tiny sand pits where they have those exercise stuff? yeah so they hid 50 marbles in there, and we had to find 15. obviously i found most of them ^^ got my hands all sandy )): my group broke the initial record with 7 min 40 sec, but Gretel's one broke it after that with 7 min 33 sec -.-"

FIFTH STATION: EGG DROP! hahaha okay so we were given an egg, and we had to try and wrap it up with the materials given such that when the egg is dropped, it doesn't crack. what they DIDN'T tell us was that they were gonna SMASH it on the ground. so obviously it cracked.

SIXTH STATION: balloon passing. we all had to lie on the ground and pass the balloon with our legs, and the last person had to pop it (with his legs). my group was quite fast, so yeah.

SEVENTH STATION: okay we took FOREVER to find this station, since it was so damn deserted and far away. it was CHARADES. actually there was another group there alr, so we had to wait, and while we waited, Gretel's group also arrived. i went to catch big ants with my empty bottle (haha okay poor ant, it actually died cos of lack of oxygen). then one facilitator went to Gretel's group to offer them food. then Gretel told me that Evan actually like super lazy and un-enthu the whole time, but the moment she said "EH EVAN YOU WANT FOOD?" wah lao he got up damn fast sia ^^
okay after that did charades, Nicholas got uhm... the Jesus praying on the hill with his sleeping disciples before he was captured. then Joshua got... uhmm... shit i forgot. hahaha. okay then my one was damn simple. the title? The Crucifixion. what did i have to do? just stand there with my hands out -.-" so damn easy hahaha. then Angelene got The Wedding at Cana. haha

EIGHTH STATION (last!): okay so we went back to the original spot. okay so there was this long long passage with lots of names from the bible. e.g. Chronicles, Esther.
we took FOREVER to find all 30 names. because they were actually broken up in words. like 'ruth' was in the word 'truth'. hahah.

outcome of orientation? actually my group came in 3rd at first, then in the end our crossword was actually screwed, so we came in 5th (out of 9 groups). which means no prize la. after that all the groups had to come up with some cheer. group 37 (actually it's group 3 AND 7) and group 4's cheer was the same -.-" then my group's one was damn simple and retarded.
me: "what kind of cheer is this?!"
Luke: "it's my school's one! the T & F one!"
me: "you're from what school?!"
Luke: "SJI!"
me: "EEEEE!"
so the cheer actually went like this. clap 7 times and then shout GROUP 5 twice, followed by "YEAH!" then i started arguing with Luke and Gian.
me: "the girls shouldn't shout!"
Gian: "just shout!"
me: "cannot! it spoils the image of girls. we're supposed to be dainty!"
Luke: "wait till you get to JC. the girls are all screaming like crazy."
me: "thats screaming! this is shouting! it's different."
Gian: "just shout!!"
me: "okay okay how about, the girls can clap, then the guys can shout!"
haha okay obviously the two of them gave up on me, so they had to agree. hehehe.
when we were about to leave, there were leftover eggs from the egg game station. i took home one. it SURVIVED! OMG hahahaha. i've got a pic of it ^^




okay after orientation, went home, did my drip art. i did it twice, i tell you, it's HORRIBLE! here's a tiny section of it.
